Establishing and characterization of an in-vitro model to study direct and indirect effects of estrogens and estrogen-like compounds in primary human osteoblasts (including estrogen receptors and osteoblastic differentiation).
Further, modulation of RANKL and osteoprotegerin in bone cells by cytokines, growth factors, hormones (SERMs and Phyto-SERMs) and bisphosphonates.
Differential regulation of the osteoblast specific transcription factor Cbfa1/Runx2 and osteocalcin gene expression by vitamin-D3, dexamethasone and local growth factors in primary human osteoblasts.
